After traveling by 地铁 (subway, dìtiě), two women from Naples, Italy, arrived at a modest Beijing hotel, dragging their 行李 (luggage, xínglǐ) behind them.
“We need to check in. Do you have our 预订 (reservation, yùdìng) details?” one asked, approaching the desk.
Her friend nodded and searched her phone. “I’ll 确认信息 (confirm the information, quèrèn xìnxī) now.”
“Let’s also ask for 地图 (maps, dìtú) and 交通指南 (transportation guides, jiāotōng zhǐnán) for tomorrow,” the first suggested.
“Good idea,” her friend agreed. “And we should download a 导航应用 (navigation app, dǎoháng yìngyòng) for easier exploration.”
